Who we are and why we exist

Mahila Va Apang Bal Vikas Sanstha (MVABVS) is a Maharashtra-based non-governmental organization, working since 2009 from our base in Titwala, Thane. We work to improve the lives of women, children, and persons with disabilities — with a sharp focus on education, healthcare, livelihood, and social inclusion.

We were founded on a simple belief: lasting change comes from empowering people through education and opportunity, not just short-term assistance. That philosophy still guides every program we run today.

Building Dignified Lives For Women, Children & Persons With Disabilities

Started in 2009, Mahila Va Apang Bal Vikas Sanstha (MVABVS) is a Maharashtra-based NGO working from our base in Titwala, Thane. We work for the right of every woman, child, and person with a disability to live an independent and dignified life. Our mission is to ensure lasting change through education, healthcare, and livelihood support — not just short-term relief. Together, we can build a society where everyone has an equal chance to thrive. Help us make a difference today.

Our Focus Areas

As a grassroots NGO working across Maharashtra, MVABVS focuses relentlessly on ensuring every woman, child, and person with a disability has access to education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and social inclusion. Our key areas of focus include improving access to quality education and healthcare, empowering women through skill development, supporting persons with disabilities through rehabilitation, and promoting awareness of rights and social welfare.

Education

As an NGO committed to education, we ensure underprivileged girls and children with disabilities have access to scholarships and learning support. Our programs help every child stay in school and break free from the cycle of poverty. We focus on creating safe, inclusive learning environments so no child is left behind because of gender, disability, or economic background. Join us in empowering the next generation through education.

Healthcare & Nutrition

As an NGO working to ensure better health for women and children, we strive to make sure no family in our community suffers from malnutrition or lack of medical care. Our initiatives focus on organizing medical camps, promoting proper nutrition, and educating communities about preventive healthcare. We work to reduce preventable illness and build a healthier future for the families we serve.

Women Empowerment

At MVABVS, we are committed to helping women become self-reliant through vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and livelihood development. As an NGO working for women's empowerment, our core initiatives include skill-building workshops, small business support, and financial literacy programs. We are working toward a future where every woman has the means and confidence to stand on her own.
